|
| Leave the A470 at the northern end of Ganllwyd, follow the small country lane, use either of the 2 car parks. From the car park follow the road for 200 yards, until it becomes a gravel road. Stay on the gravel road past the Ferndale B&B cottages, for 1 mile to the waterfalls and old gold mine buildings. The route is way-marked in yellow | The return route crosses the Afon Mawddach using the bridge above the falls. The walk then follows the east bank of the river along the gravel road, bringing you to a second bridge, cross here to the west bank and turn right (north) to follow the river back up to the car park. | Please take care not to stray from the paths, these workings, cliffs and rivers are dangerous.
The fast flowing river and deep pools are not suitable for swimming. |
